On the occasion of Facebook like first anniversary, Facebook has come up with a new button "Send".  In a  facebook blog post, Facebook has announced the integration of new button. The striking difference between like and share is, what you LIKE is universal and shows up in your profile. But "share" defines boundaries like groups. In other words, Send is relevant to groups. By this newly integrated send button you can create private spaces to share info with your family friends etc.

Facebook groups was introduced last October since then it grew exponentially. I guess this send button would fuel the groups growth further more. Where as like button is on 2.5 million sites creating a way to share what users like with their friends!
The button has been launched in 50 partner sites.

Facebook in its blog says:

“A year ago, we launched the Like button, which gives you a quick way to share the things you find on the web with all your friends. But there are times when you find something that you only want to share with a few specific people.
“Say you’re on Orbitz and want to tell your roommates about a great idea for a summer vacation, or you come across a Huffington Post article that you only want to share with people at work. With the new Send button, now you can share things with any of your Groups or individual friends on Facebook.”

So how do you look at this new SHARE button?
