Windows 8, there were many and long spread  rumors about the UI that windows 8 will carry. Shutting the rumors, microsoft in its blog has released the "preview" of windows 8. (Microsoft has also promised that it will be releasing more windows 8 videos.). Mind you, windows 8 is still in development mode, it is expected to hit the markets as early as 2012.

Here are a few aspects of the new interface shown in the below video:

•Fast launching of apps from a tile-based Start screen, which replaces the Windows Start menu with a customizable, scalable full-screen view of apps.
•Live tiles with notifications, showing always up-to-date information from your apps.
•Fluid, natural switching between running apps.
•Convenient ability to snap and resize an app to the side of the screen, so you can really multitask using the capabilities of Windows.
•Web-connected and Web-powered apps built using HTML5 and JavaScript that have access to the full power of the PC.
•Fully touch-optimized browsing, with all the power of hardware-accelerated Internet Explorer 10.

Though windows UI looks similar to that of the windows mobile phones, we need to wait till we look at the final product. Here at IDKT we feel that windows 8 will be of two version one optimized for touch tablets or phones another one for desktops.

Do let us know what do you think about the new user interface.
