Create a account by logging into dropbox.
Once you have created, you need to install the dropbox application on your PC, laptop or any mobile device. (Currently dropbox supports windows, mac os X, linux as well as for android iphone ipad and blackberry in mobiles segment).
After installing the dropbox application on your device all you need to do is to upload a file that you want to back up to the dropbox folder.
Dropbox uses the cloud computing technique. The file you have uploaded is saved into your dropbox account which can be accessed from anywhere. Dropbox can also be used to share, sync your files from any computer. All you need to have is a dropbox account and their application installed on to your device. Point has to be noted that storage size is limited to 2GB for free users. You can always upgrade to more capacity depending on your requirement.
