This is some thing seriously "out of the box" from Google. Google- A software giant, has taken giant steps ro infuse android into our day to day things. Google in its recently concluded developers conference called Google I/O has announced a new project called Android @home.
In brief, Android @home aims at integrating your android phone with any electronic device available in your vicinity. This shows the zeal of Google to make android a "UNI"versal device.
Switching lights on/off from your android device, connecting android app with your daily work out instruments for better results, gesture implementations were just a hand picked experiments showcased by Google at its conference.
Google has also announced a project called "TUNGSTEN" with "lightning science"-a LED manufacturing company. Lightning science will now manufacture ANDROID controlled LED's. Isn't that cool?
This is for the softy/hardy fans! You can now work on hardware that can be controlled by Android device! Google announce a partnership with Arduino-Open hardware provider. ADK's( Android Developmental Kits) are available for purchase, using which developers can build their own hardware that can be controlled by Android device! Open up your brains developers!
Totally, this "unexpected" release raised many eye brows and all set to become a benchmark for other companies to follow.
